Consoles are really difficult. You cannot use a lot of UI libraries, like what the gem store is using. You have to obviously support controllers, and block all graphic, sound, and control options. You have to test extensively because console hardware is highly variable in how it operates.
GW2 tells one, continuous story all the way fron lvl 1 tutorial through the max lvl (80) expansions. So if you care about story, the newest content will be the last thing on your mind. After all, there are 10 years of story to catch up on. Here is one warning. The expansions alone are far from all content.

Sadly none of my friends enjoy Guild Wars 2 and while I enjoy Lost Ark for the combat it does feel like a job at this point doing all the daily checklists every day (not the game's fault, I guess I'm FOMOing a lot into it at this point) and it's nice coming to Guild Wars 2 whenever I want and do whatever I want and not feel like I'm behind everyone else.
Shadow of the Mad King event, the Guild Wars 2 equivalent of Halloween, is starting on October 18, 2022, and it will last for three weeks, until November 8.. Just like before, the event will result in themed decorations for the area outside the capital city of each race, such as Queensdale, Plains of Ashford, Wayfarer Foothills, Metrica Province and Caledon Forest.
