The first thing to do is locate the owner manual. Look for the glow plug relay MAIN FUSE location. The glow plug portion of your van is not working. This difficulty scale from 1 to 10 is a 9. You will need a DVM and tool undo the cables to each glow plugs.To check the glowplug relay (GPR), measure the voltage drop across the GPR's large terminals. While the GPR is active (up to 1.5 to 2 minutes after the key is turned to Wait-to-Start) put your meter leads on the large terminals (one lead on one large terminal and the other lead on the other large terminal). Pre-Power Stroke Diesel (7.3L IDI & 6.9L) - 1994 F350 7.3 glow plugs - 1994 F350 7.3, the issue is the glow plug relay, have replaced once and daughter's mechanic says its bad again. Mechanic says that instead of replaceing the relay again, he can bypass the relay and wire the glow plugs to a button she would have to Okay. I have been playing the relay i have at the mo. When i turn on the ignition there is no voltage to the glow plugs, however i know that there is voltage going to the relay, One permenant and one switched.
