Timing belt intervals are a maximum recommendation, not an age or mileage to aim for. I'm sure just like the did on the 1.9's it will get lowered. Not done a belt on the 2.0's yet. The older 1.9 engines were designed in such a way that you didn't need to remove the cylinder head in the case of timing belt failure.

I have purchased an '11 Insignia 2.0 cdti 160 BHP. There is currently 185,000 K on this. The belt was done by main dealer @ 97,000 K. Just had my timing belt and auxiliary drive belt done, so have added those to the table in the top post. Originally quoted £374.40+£69.90=£444.30. With Masterfit Service Club 25% discount that came down to £280.80+£52.43=£333.23. I came back another day and was quoted £229 for the timing belt and I asked them to do the drive belt for the o5Nfg.
